Empowered Women, Endless Possibilities: An Evening of Affirmations and Connection

You have to go through a secret door into what looks like a floor to ceiling reading library filled with actual books.

Then, you pull on a specific novel and another door opens into another world.

Tonight, I sat beside high-powered women welcoming our year ahead with powerful affirmations.

We went around the group of 17, declaring what we want for the year ahead.

We said it in past tense. Like it’s already happened.

I ordered a glass of Veuve to celebrate where I am in my journey now — and how the best is yet to come.

Each person dreamed bigger than the next, encouraged us to revisit what we had put out there, listened attentively as witness to our dreams, then declared it collectively that it’s undoubtedly going to happen.
