I have applied for big things.
I have put offers out there that no one has bit on.
I have redefined myself over, and over, and over again, realizing that I am now also redefining the general consensus that if you don't stick to one thing, you'll never get to where you're going.
Actually, women are intuitive.
Women shift.
Women flow.
Women are like water.
Strong.
Forceful.
Gentle.
Calm.
Recently, I've put out four offers that no one's bit on.
I could feel shitty about that and doubt my capabilities as an entrepreneur, or I could see, "Y'know what? It's market research. Some of those ideas did get interest, but maybe the delivery wasn't right. The packaging wasn't right. Or, even Facebook's algorithm simply didn't get it in front of the right eyes."
That's okay.
Because I keep showing up.
MORE BOLDLY.
MORE ME.
Because as my mentor said, the person who swings the most is the one who has the most chances to hit a home run.
I could fight who I am.
A dreamer.
An idea-maker.
A no-holds-barred-I'm-grabbing-life-authentically-by-the-balls kind of woman.
Because I DID the road trip of almost 2,000 miles with just me and my 3.5 year old and we LOVED IT.
Because I DID move to AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COUNTRY without knowing a single soul. Not just this once to Taiwan.
Also, when I moved to Shanghai in my mid-20s.
And, when I moved to England in my 20s.
Or even when I moved to New York, South Carolina, Northern California, Texas, and more.
I said YES to having a baby with a man I knew for only 2 weeks.
14 days, yo.
I've had food that's sat in my fridge for longer.
Some of those decisions might've been detours. Some of them were me running away. Some of them could be seen as impetuous.
Or, they were all beautiful learning lessons for me to arrive where I am now.
They were precisely divinely timed for me to become the greatest version of myself.
They are the ASSETS now in my life that help me know my value and worth WHENEVER I work with a client.
Because all those random experiences? All those times I said "YES" instead of, "Y'know what? That sounds too crazy. I think I'll just sit this one out."
They have made it so that EVERY SINGLE TIME I MEET A NEW HUMAN there is NOTHING that I can't connect with them on.
Seriously.
Every single person, I can relate to or connect with and do you know what that's led to?
It's led to epic job opportunities.
Like becoming a travel writer, where I got hosted at 5-star luxury resorts in Fiji, Brazil, Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado, and more.
It's led to DEEP community and connections, so that everywhere Wilder and I go, we have FAMILY.
It's led to a contacts list on my cell phone that includes celebrities, spiritual luminaries, surf legends, endurance athletes, and media.
